Every gift makes a difference...No gift is too small.
Your generous contributions make a difference in the lives of deserving students who have a keen interest in the study of mathematics; support various research-related activities, conferences and meetings; host prominent guests and colloquium speakers; and sponsor a highly respected annual high school math contest. We thank you for your thoughtful and generous commitment.

Yuri Abramovich Memorial Scholarship:

This memorial scholarship was established to commemorate Dr. Yuri Abramovich as a colleague, as a mathematician, and as an educator. This scholarship supports deserving undergraduate and graduate students who have a keen interest in the study of mathematics, who demonstrate academic excellence especially in mathematics courses beyond the sophomore level, and who show promise for a career in mathematics.

IUPUI High School Math Contest:

The purpose of the IUPUI High School Math Contest is to increase math awareness among high school students, help recruit math-oriented students to IUPUI, and increase the visibility of IUPUI and the Math Department in the community. Donations cover the cost of the contest, cash awards, and scholarships.

Colloquium:

This special fund allows the department to support its Colloquium Series and the visits of prominent guests, colloquium and seminar speakers to enhance research and faculty development. Colloquiums provide an opportunity for exchanges between fellow mathematicians from all over the country.

Math Sciences:

This fund is used for faculty, staff and student recruiting, faculty development, travel, program promotion, and faculty and staff goodwill and recognition.

For Your Tax Consideration

Gifts of cash to any of these funds and Indiana University are fully deductible for federal income tax purposes--provided you itemize your deductions. In addition, some states (Indiana in particular) offer special state tax incentives for gifts in support of higher education. Indiana offers a credit against Gross Income Tax owed of an amount equal to 50% of individual contributions to any Indiana college or university, for a maximum credit of $100 on a single return and $200 on a joint return.
