IUPUI High School Mathematics Contest
The 2008 contest is made possible by the IUPUI School of Science and by the Department of Mathematical Sciences
Contest 2008 - Sponsored by IUPUI Department of Mathematical Sciences

  • 2008 Theme: Mathematics and Space Exploration.

  • Eligibility: This contest is open to students attending high school (grades 9-12) in the fifteen-county area of central Indiana: Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Clinton, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Howard, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Morgan, Putnam, Shelby and Tipton.

  • Prizes: Four Mathematics Departments will be awarded prizes of $250 each based on the rankings of the winning students. All student winners will receive a popular book or video on mathematics. In addition, scholarships in the amount of $2,500 per year will be awarded to 16 winners who are directly admitted to the Purdue School of Science at IUPUI and attend full-time. This scholarship is renewable for four years, subject to certain requirements.
