Statistics in Pharmaceutical Research
is a collaborative effort between the
IUPUI Department of Mathematical Sciences,
the
IU Division of Biostatistics, and Eli Lilly & Company. The goal of the series is to
further strengthen the ties between industry and academia by introducing participants
to the broad spectrum of issues surrounding the drug development process in the
pharmaceutical industry. The course will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays on the IUPUI
campus from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., beginning on Thursday, August 23, in room 1110
of the HITS (Health Information & Translational Sciences) building. Three graduate
credits are available for interested students, subject to approval by their faculty
advisor.

This innovative program is designed to prepare new students entering IUPUI in the Fall
for the rigors and demands of MATH 153
- College Algebra and Trigonometry I,
especially new students entering science, technology, or engineering programs.
The program will also help to orient new students to the key differences between
high school and college.
