Multivariate Calculus

• Prerequisites: Math 164 or equivalent with a grade of C or better

• Course Objective: The topics that will be covered in this course include vectors and the geometry of space, vector-valued functions, partial derivatives, multiple integrals, and vector calculus. The topics covered have important applications in science, engineering and statistics.

• Withdraw: The last day to withdraw from this class is Friday, March 28, 2008.

• Homework: The homework problems for each section are listed on the homework assignment sheet. The homework will not be collected but quiz questions will be similar to the homework problems.

• Quizzes: There will be 11 in-class quizzes (15 points each).

• Exams: There will be three exams (100 points each)

• Final Exam: The final exam will be on May 1, 2008 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. It will be in our regular classroom. It will be a comprehensive exam and will be worth 200 points. Be sure that you do not have any conflicts (work, class, or otherwise) with the time and date of the final exam.

• Final point total: Your final point total will be as follows: quizzes 110 points, exams 300 points and final exam 200 points.

• Final grade: C's: 60%-74%, B's 75%-89%, A's: 90%-100%.
